General

The conference takes place at Knutholmen in Kalvåg. The venue can be reached by both car and boat, and for those traveling from farther away, the most convenient option is to travel to Florø, where we have arranged a private passenger boat to take participatns directly to Knutholmen. The journey takes about 30 minutes.


We have scheduled a departure from Florø Harbour on Wednesday, 22. April, at ca. 10:45, with arrival in Kalvåg ca. 11:15. On the 23. April, the return boat will depart from Knutholmen at ca. 14:00 and will arrive back in Florø at ca. 14:30.

We kindly ask all passengers to meet 10-15 minutes before each departure to ensure a smooth boarding process. As this is a private boat, we have a small degree of flexibility with departure times, though only within a limited window. If you anticipate delays or have concerns about timing, please let us know as early as possible so we can assist.


Participants have begun receiving a transport form to let us know whether they would like to use this boat transfer. If you have not received the form, please send us an email, and we will help you.

Travel

Florø is accessible via direct flights from Bergen and Oslo. Florø airport is a 7-minute drive from the city center. It is also possible fly to Førde, which is about 1 - 1.5 hour from Florø depending on transportation.

  • Flights can be booked to Florø or Førde with Widerøe or DAT:

  • Express boat from Bergen to Florø (3.5 h) goes directly to Smørhamn which is close to Kalvåg (Norled). From Smørhamn, you can take either the local bus or a taxi to Knutholmen. The trip takes only about 15 minutes. Should you be running late and need extra assistance getting to Knutholmen, please don’t hesitate to send us an email. We’ll be happy to help!
