General Terms for Participation

General terms for participation at the Maritime Hydrogen Conference.

1. Contract Documents
Participants are required to read and familiarise themselves with the privacy policy and the general terms in this agreement between the participant and Ocean Hyway Cluster, from this point named “The Organizer”.

2. Registration
Registration is considered completed after registration, and if applicable, payment of the event on our website. A receipt will be sent to the participants at the e-mail address specified. Registration is binding until cancellation is received, see section 5. The following terms are accepted when paying for the event. The Organizer is obligated when payment has been received, see section 8.

3. Price
The event fee covers the services described in the event programme. The Organizer reserve the right to increase/lower the price in the case of changes in taxes/fees, misprints or expenses due to force majeure etc. Information about the increased fee should be sent as soon as possible and no later than 14 days prior to the event. Participants may cancel their registration free of charge if the increase exceeds 10 per cent of the advertised price. Services beyond those mentioned in the programme are payable by each participant.

4. Payment
Payment is due upon registration on our website or registration fees may be billed.

5. Cancellations
Registrations cancelled a week before the conference will be refunded /not charged in case of invoicing. For cancellations made 6 days prior and until the start of the event, or if the participant does not attend the event, the registration fee will not be refunded. This also apply for the dinner at Knutholmen and “Taste of Florø”. Participants must arrange their own cancellation insurance through a travel insurance or credit card company. This applies in case of illness and other causes that prevent participation. All cancellations should be made in writing and sent to post@oceanhywaycluster.no.

6. Interruptions
If a participant must cancel his participation at an event after its commencement, the Organizer is not liable for any extra costs in connection with the cancellation. In such cases the participant's insurance should be referred to. Participants are not entitled to a refund for all or part of the costs. See also section 9.

7. Cancellation of Event
The Organizer may cancel the event in the case of force majeure, insufficient registration or conditions beyond our control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government or Governmental body restrictions, pandemic, COVID-19 or other viruses spreading, weather conditions, cancelled flights or public transportation, wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected. If the event is cancelled the Organizer is obligated to, if possible, notify the participants one working week before the event at the latest. If the event is cancelled, the entire registration fee will be refunded. Participants are not entitled to compensation for financial or non-financial losses beyond this.

8. Changes
The Organizer should carry out the event as described in the programme. It is, however, subject to change due to circumstances that make it difficult to carry out the event as planned. The Organizer should, if possible, inform participants about any significant changes before the start of the event. In case of substantial changes, participants are entitled to withdraw from the event within a reasonable time period and receive a full refund. If changes must be made during the event, the Organizer should inform participants as soon as possible.

9. Complaints
The person responsible for the event should be notified immediately about any complaints. A written account and any claims should be sent to the Organizer as soon as possible and within 14 days after the event has ended.

10. Photographs
Photos will/may be taken of participants at the event. These images may be used in the Organizers publications, website or other media related to the event. If you wish to opt out of being photographed, you must inform us about this upon registration or before the event begins.

11. Your Personal Information
When you register for the event – the Organizer might share your name, e-mail address and company name with co-organisers, suppliers and sponsors of the event to use for the purposes of the event.

If you check the box “Add me to the participant’s list” when ordering your ticket your name, company and email will be distributed to the other participants. Read more about how we handle your personal information in our privacy policy.
