The Hydrogen Value Chain
13:00 - 13:30
Discussion: Challenging the “established truths” - are we heading in the right direction?
- Is small scale hydrogen production financially sound?
- Should hydrogen be produced and used locally?
- How do we distribute hydrogen?
- Is liquid hydrogen no longer in the Norwegian picture?
- Are market expectations realistic, how do we match infrastructure development with the market demand dynamics?

Panel discussion: Searching for the sweet spot between flexibility and complexity
The transition to zero emissions is not straightforward, yet we cannot wait for all the pieces of the puzzle to be firmly in place. The possibility to use multiple types of fuels is therefore essential – but also drives cost and complexity. In this session, we try to find the sweet spot between flexibility and complexity.
Moderator: Gunnar Malm Gamlem, Project Manager, SINTEF Ocean
Panel:
Kristian Osnes, CEO, HAV Hydrogen
Henrik Burvang, Research and Innovation Manager, Vard
Marie Launes, Commercial Environmental Manager, Eidesvik

Short break / networking / end of conference for those not going to the Fjord Base
16:00 - 17:00 (limited seats, fully booked!)
Field trip! Learn how Norway’s largest supply base is becoming more sustainable.
We start with a 15 minute presentations in the conference venue before heading for the buses.
10 minutes from the conference venue, we find Fjord Base, Norway’s largest supply base. They are developing activities that focus on the energies of the future. We visit the base to learn more about their activities in hydrogen production (incl. LOHC), circular economy and offshore wind. Limited seats, sign up when registering for the conference. P.S: Florø was one of the five hubs Enova chose to support in the establishment of production plants for renewable hydrogen. Read more.
18:30
Departure for Knutholmen by boat
About Knutholmen
About as far west in Norway as it is possible to go, on an island facing the Atlantic Ocean - this is where you find Knutholmen. A family-run hotel with historic sea houses in stunning surroundings, and a restaurant known for its excellent seafood. We will be served a three course meal.
